QUICK MACEDONIA – 3 NIGHTS / 4 DAYS

Day 1 – Arrival Skopje – Tetovo – Ohrid

Morning arrival at the airport “Alexander the Great”. Transfer to Ohrid via Tetovo to visit of Aladja Mosque (Colorful Mosque). Along the way, Macedonian Language lecture in the bus, by the local guide. Light lunch on own en route. Arrival into Ohrid around 1:00pm and check in to the hotel. Approx. 1 hour Free time to unpack and refresh. Depart from hotel for Ohrid city tour (St. Sophia church, Samuil fortress, Ancient theatre, St. Clement – Plaosnik, St. John Evangelist – Kaneo). From Kaneo to center we use small boats. Free time in city center before dinner. Included Macedonian dinner at restaurant Biljanini Izvori with folklore ensemble. Back to hotel for overnight in Ohrid. (D)

Day 2 – Ohrid – Elshani – Ohrid

Breakfast at hotel. Visit of Museum on water (Bay of Bones). After that transfer to Gorno Konjsko. Hike down to Elshani village with donkeys and homemade lunch prepared by the villagers. Free time in village and villagers. Afternoon back to hotel or city center. Dinner on own. Overnight in Ohrid. (B & L)

Day 3 – Ohrid – Resen – Bitola – Tikves Winery – Skopje

Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Resen. Visit of a palace of Niyazi Bey, one of the founder of the Young Turkish revolution together with Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, today a city museum and a place of International Ceramic colony, part of UNESCO ceramic colonies. After that, transfer to Bitola. Visit to City Museum of Bitola

(ex Military Academy) and Memorial room of Kemal Ataturk founder of Modern Turkey. Transfer to Tikves winery, the biggest one in the Eastern Europe and the oldest in Macedonia – presentation of the capacity, wine production with specific Macedonian wine varieties. Included lunch in the winery including few Macedonian varieties of the wine. After that, we continue to Skopje. Arrive to hotel and check in . Dinner on own. Overnight in Skopje. (B & L)

Day 4 – Skopje –Matka –Skpje – Skopje airport

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to canyon Matka (15 km app.). Visit of cave Vrelo by small boats. Lunch at restaurant in the canyon. Back to the center. City stroll to center of Skopje (Old charsi, Archaeological museum of Macedonia, Memorial house of Mother Theresa). Free time. Transfer to airport for late evening flight. (B & L)
